In Loving Memory Of Debbie

 Debbie E. Casey Jan. 4 1950-Mar. 17 2002

Things we shared---

We shared a deep and everlasting love for
one another that will never end ...
We shared a deep devotion to one another...
We... are ...inseparable ....
Our love for one another will continue on... forever...

Debbie often said that our souls were a perfect match , and that she knew we were meant for each other , from the day we first met ...  She liked to come with me whenever I would go out observing the night sky with my telescope .  She really liked to see the craters on the moon , and she enjoyed looking  at the planets Saturn and Jupiter.  Many times she was happy to just sit in the van and watch out the window for meteors or the northern lights .  For several nights , some years ago , we were both treated to a breathtaking , and very colorful display of the northern lights that brought us both great enjoyment .  A few years ago we were awed by the sight of two large and bright comets....
As fate would have it , there is a comet in the sky now....and I know God is now giving Debbie the best view of all .

Debbie also liked to go camping and we shared many good times together in Cavendish , Fundy national park , Mt Carlton provincial park and other locations ; with our sons ; our friends , or sometimes ,  just by ourselves . We enjoyed canoeing together and Debbie loved to watch for wildlife , especially loons deer , and moose .   We loved to play in the waves on Cavendish beach with our sons , there friends , and her nieces and nephews ...or again , sometimes just by our selves . Debbie loved to travel with me as often as she could when I traveled the Maritimes on my many business trips .She enjoyed chatting with our many friends in the theatre business as I was performing my technician duties .

Things Debbie took great pleasure in---

Debbie loved to visit with her family and friends as often as she could .  She enjoyed playing "Upwords" , "Sequence" or card games , especially with her nieces , nephews or our very good friends Pat and Dave .  Debbie took great pleasure in the company of our dog "Ginger" , and our cat "Bud".

She very much enjoyed planting her little garden and watching it grow .  She liked going to the movies , especially comedies and action movies  ...and she always had a special fondness in her heart for Mel Gibbson movies !  And of course , every night before going to bed , she would take great joy and satisfaction from the simple pleasure of having a hot bath while reading a mystery novel . Of course , no night would be complete without her greatest personal pleasure of all....a Tim Horton's Coffee...large , double milk...no sugar !

Things Debbie considered as her greatest accomplishments---

Debbie had a strong will and a love for life , which , I believe , helped keep her going for so long , all these years .She tried never to let any of her many medical problems keep her from doing the things she wanted to do . When doctors told her she couldn't or shouldn't do something...she got very determined and was somehow able to do them anyway . She was especially joyful of being able to have , and raise , our two sons Eric and Tony ; and watch them become wonderful people , as they grew into manhood .  And although they are 28 and 26 years of age , she still thought of them as her "boys".

Debbie was proud of being able to hike the trail to the top of Mt Carlton several years ago .  It was a long and difficult trail , and many people passed us on the way up and again on their way back down , before she was able to get even half way up the trail , but she keep going and we finally reached the top of the highest peek in new Brunswick .  Debbie was overjoyed to have been able to take our sons on a trip to Disneyland and other Florida attractions and watch them have fun . She was happy to have seen the moon rise at dawn over the Nevada desert .  And she was thrilled to have been able to see the Grand Canyon at sunset .  One of the most delightful memories she had , was seeing , close up , a lot of her favorite movie stars when we attended a theatre convention in Las Vegas a number of years ago .
Debbie was awed by the sight of icebergs when we were in Newfoundland , and to have trekked the trail to view a Fiord in Gross Morn national park ; and also to have seen whales close up while on a whale watching tour .  Onetime while in Newfoundland , we visited "Blow-Me-Down" provincial park outside of Cornerbrook ; and somehow despite all her problems , she was able to climb the many stairs and long steep path to the lookout on the top of the mountain . For her pain and suffering doing this , she was rewarded with a lifelong memory of the breath taking panoramic view of the ocean and mountains from the top !

Debbie's Great Big Loving Heart---

Debbie always had plenty of love for everyone , even me when I sometimes did not deserve it .
She loved all her family so very very much .  And she had an especially deep love for her father and mother , whom we visited as often as we could.... But of course , her biggest love , was for her "boys" , Eric and Tony .

Debbie's greatest wish and hope-

Debbie greatest wish and hope ; was for our sons to have a happy and fruitful life ; and once they have good jobs to support themselves , settle down to raise a family of there own if that is their desire .

Debbie's greatest joys in life

Of course our sons , Eric and Tony were her greatest joy ; as well as her biggest love !
She was extremely happy that she was able to have children despite the doctors advising against it Debbie was always proud and very protective of them .  Debbie always took great enjoyment from being around children , especially her nieces nephews and her very special little friend , Brendan Driscol. Debbie loved to visit them all as often as she could . And of course ; Debbie always had a special love in her great big heart for babies . Debbie was extremely happy that she had gotten to hold her recently born "great niece" , only weeks before she took ill . There was a special joy and gleam in her eye as she held baby Megan ! And she was getting very excited about being able to hold her soon to be born , and named , "great nephew" . On the day of Debbie's passing , I was handed an envelope stuffed with money , from a person whom I shall not name . Almost immediately I knew what I should do with it .....I could have used it to help with Debbie's funeral expenses , I could have used it to fix my sons car .  I could have used it to help pay some of the many thousands of dollars in Visa debt Debbie and I have incurred over the last few years . I could have used it pay down my mortgage a little .
I could have used it for any number of things   However .... in honor of Debbie and her great big love of babies ; I know in my heart that it would make her extremely happy that I offer it to her great niece , Megan ; and her soon to be born and named great nephew ..... The money ; $500 each , is to be put into a fund for their future education .

I , my sons and her family and friends, will love and miss Debbie for the rest of our lives ; and I will try to live the rest of my life in honor of her !  We will all remember the good times we had together....
Debbie will live on in our hearts and souls .

We will love you Debbie ..."Forever and Ever "
